James was awarded a LLB (Hons) degree in law by the University of Liverpool and went on to complete his Legal Practice Course with the College of Law (York) in the United Kingdom. James has also been awarded an International Practice Diploma in Human Rights Law and Practice by the College of Law (London).

He established Stenning & Associates for the purpose of providing affordable quality advice and representation to both local and international clientele.

He has acted in a variety of commercial and criminal litigation matters, including:
